			 STRATUM  is a 2D platformer game oriented on narration, boss fighting and trekking. It is set in the year 101 AD and you'll play as Tarbus, a Dacian warrior trying to find his God in a... pretty peculiar world, I'll get back to that in a moment, now, let me tell you a little bit of history that'll help you comprehend what this game is all about.

2000 years ago, the Dacian people were the inhabitants of the land that nowadays constitutes Romania and as many cultures in the past, wars and conflicts didn't avoid them. The Roman Empire of Trajan was a huge threat to them as seen in the 2 devastating wars that occured in 101-102 and 105-106 AD.

Religion was a huge influence in the lives of the Dacians, as they were living in a theocratic state led by a priest-king.
Even from the beginning of the war in 101, pain and sorrow started raining all over Dacia and people were in despair.

Not long passed until the sacrifices in the name of their God, Zalmoxis, started. The Dacians believed that the only way to get help from Zalmoxis for such a harsh matter was by sending messengers to him through death, rather than praying.

Tarbus, the main character of STRATUM, was one of the messengers sent to the Gods together with his son.
