Certainly my favorite game of the jam with "Until Dawn" so far.
The zelda gameplay is simple but very effective, and the bosses are soooo good.
The gameboy style works very good, although you have done the same mistake as aaaal of the other jammers, your sprites have 5 colors (4+tranparency). You really didn't need the black outline so it should be an easy fix if you ever want to be super picky on the gameboy aspect. :)
I'm stuck though, I'm in the 6 eyes-statues room at the top of the map, and I have no idea how to get through... There's also a 4 eyes-statues room, 2 at each side of a door... no idea either, maybe I missed something.
I love the look of this game. There's something about the artwork that manages to convey more than it seems like it should be able to at the limited resolution.
There's also something about interaction with the world entirely through broom smacking that makes me smile. :)
I'm kinda stuck. After getting power glove, I don't know where else to go. The room with 6 objects has no clue at all of how they should be arranged to open the door
Beautiful graphics, neat game! I included it in part 8 of my GBJam 4 compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/fQZlpd3Kawc
For me this is the winner of gbjam, it's such a great game. A good story, exploration, puzzles, fantastic art style, awesome boss fights, and the ending... it's amazing! Thank you for this game :) A question, the door in the ending room opens?
