The Cursed Abode (Demo)
The Cursed Abode is a game set in a forgotten house, once home to a family of six — a place now swallowed by silence and shadows. Pedro didn’t come here by choice. He was dragged, torn from reality by malevolent spirits and thrown into this decaying prison. Alone and disoriented, he receives a call — a crackling voice through a dusty phone line. It’s Samuel.
Samuel had been watching that house since he was seven. An obsessed stalker with twisted intentions. But fate has its own humor — his wicked plans crumbled long ago, and now, ironically, he’s Pedro’s only chance at survival. Without him, Pedro might’ve never lasted the first hour.
Through the call, Samuel shares what little he knows. The truth behind the family. The spirits. And why they wanted Pedro. It’s a rushed explanation, laced with panic. Samuel knows he can’t save him. The spirits are waiting, lurking just outside. They want Samuel too — to consume his essence, to use his soul as fuel for the final strike on Pedro… and to gather enough plasma energy to break free from the cursed house that binds them. That’s why Samuel must never step foot inside — not even if the police dared to enter.
Instead, he gives Pedro clues — fragments of wisdom that might help him survive. But one wrong move… and it’s over.
To stand a chance, Pedro must collect blessed pages — sacred relics that burn the spirits like fire. But there's a catch: he can only retrieve one per night. Fifteen nights. Fifteen pages. Fifteen brushes with death. A twisted purgatory from which escape seems impossible. Still, Pedro has no choice but to keep going, guided only by Samuel’s fading voice.
These spirits crave his soul. Not for vengeance. Not for justice. But for energy. Pedro, despite being human, carries a sacred light within — a soul almost untouched by sin. A rare source of power. Pure. Bright. Dangerous… to the wrong hands. The spirits plan to harness it, escape the house, and unleash ruin upon others — just as they did before.
It all began with the father of that cursed family. Desperate, hunted by murderers, he turned to the forbidden. Dark pacts. Demonic rituals. Spiritual corruption. It saved him — but cursed everyone he loved. The spirits made that house their playground, feasting on fear and sorrow. But eventually, the family escaped… and the spirits, weakened, were left behind. Trapped in their own hell — a prison built of nostalgia and endless agony.
