Its been a year after the fire in FNAC 2:

The Schmidt family are broke due to Mike and Mary being unable to find a job. That was until Mary saw that Candy's was reopening again. Hoping management forgot she was fired, she got the night shift yet again. If only she knew things have only gotten so much worse...
