Hello, everyone. Have you played Undertale? I have. It's a lot of fun. For those of you who haven't, it's hard to describe. You won't learn anything going to the wiki, I'll tell you that. Just watch a playthrough sometime, or get it yourself. It's like, ten USD, and goes on sale a lot. Trust me, it'll be fun.
Anyways, to get back to the point, this is a fangame of Undertale. Specifically, it's a take on the Underfell alternate universe, by Vic/Underfella. Great man. You'd love him.
Underfell is a version of Undertale where everything is bad. The characters are borderline evil, every location is either in complete decay or militarized to the point of totalitarianism, and broadly speaking, if there's a happy ending, you have to work hard to get it. It's a bleak world, where danger lurks around every corner and everything you've come to expect from the original game is turned on its head. My favorite fanwork of Undertale ever, naturally.
So, here's my little tribute: a single boss fight based upon it! Obviously not canon - or even close, considering some small things about Underfell that make a game very hard to make - but unambiguously the same characters and universe. You're up against everyone's favorite menacing presence, Sans "Red" the Skeleton, here to punish you for your sins/lack thereof!
What do I mean? It's the first point in the features category! Just read that!
Featuring...
Not one, not two, not three, not seventeen (are you joking?), but FIVE battles against Sans in every possible Underfell timeline! Use the level selector to determine your path.
New attacks! New mechanics! New story! A new excuse for Sans to curb-stomp you down every single moral path!
Entirely self-contained - if you have a good idea of what Underfell is, you can understand this game without any sort of reading material!
New routes, for those aforementioned five battles! Pacifist and Genocide are cool and all, but have you ever heard of Comedic and Tragic? They're a split of the neutral route based on how many monsters you killed - levels two through nine for comedic, and levels ten through eighteen for tragic. As for that fifth route... experiment! I can't just tell you everything, that's no fun!
New judgements for every possible level! That's right, we wrote out twenty-one introductory monologues to the battle for your enjoyment! Get Sans' opinion on every single number between the range of one and twenty also the fifth route which I still won't tell you about shut up!
Sans from Undertale
The beautiful, beautiful banner art above by the esteemed @neewbb! Just look at it. I bet if the halls of Olympus were real, they'd be painted with that image. I could look at it for hours. Mmm...
And, of course... an original soundtrack, by me! Is it good? Is it bad? I don't know! You tell me! Listen above.
So! That's cool.
I hope everyone enjoys. This game was a lot of fun to work on and I hope I did Underfell justice. If I didn't... sorry! Do it yourself, there are lots of free game engines.
Have fun, everyone!
