The game currently has a Mid-Fight Masses type problem, where the notes sometimes disappear, except it's even worse. It turns even the easiest song into a battle for your life. Also, add ghost tapping, old input and dissappearing notes are not a good combination.
defently like it but think you can expand on menue in future so can have like character models
how do i make a song?
This engine is to cool but... can have a port for android?
Unity Party Engine by @Rei_
Unity Party is an Engine that recreates the open source game "Friday Night Funkin' " originally made on HaxeFlixel through the popular game engine Unity!
This engine is created and developed by @Rei_ alone, while @UniBrine helped through its creation and made the logo!
We also recieved help from raonyreis13 during development!
Menu songs remixes by Thesnakerox
Aknowledge that this engine is in Early Access and some features may be buggy or not even released yet! This list of features can also change anytime and things can be removed if too difficult to develop.
Guides and Bundles can be found at our up.mod.io page!
This engine's source code is available here.
Also available on Gamebanana.
- Features -
New Engine:
Unity Party brings the gameplay of FNF' into the Unity Game Engine.
The engine is made to be optimized and performant, while also being as customizable as possible. Hopefully you'll find good use for it!
You can report bugs at our discord :https://discord.gg/rn97bwYjPx
Launcher (COMING SOON):
Once the engine is in a stable enough state, there will be an auto-updating laucnher for everyone to use! It will be easy as pie, just click play and you're already inside the game! No need to overcomplicate things with downloading a new build everytime.
The engine also has an in-game update notification screen in case you've forgot to update, or you're using a standalone version!
Bundles:
Bundles are a collection of songs that each can possibly contain custom scripting. Each song in a bundle can contain information such as artist name, charter name, and even an album cover. Bundles can be exported to a .ZIP format and easily shared.
If applicable, users can download bundles if they have the download URL via the in-game bundle downloader (alpha only).
Mod.io Support :
You can download Bundles, scenes and character through the in-game online downloader from mod.io!
If you also made bundles or any kind of content, you can upload them there as well as make guides to help others out!
C# Scripting (COMING TO BETA):
Unity Party gives you the power of the entire engine with its C# scripting system. A song's custom script act like it's in the engine itself, meaning you are not limited by the engine.
Scene Editor (COMING TO BETA):
The Scene Editor allows you to create your own scenes for your own songs. An advantage that this has over HaxeFlixel's hard-coding, you can see where you're placing objects and can freely translate, rotate and scale using the UI.
Character Editor (COMING TO BETA):
You are able to import your own FNF characters through the character editor, change the offset, test the animations, change the health bar color and even change if the character is idle-only or even floats around!
Animations:
Double note animations are not buggy in Unity, they won't try to overlap all the time and it's much cleaner!
We also allow for as many character animations as possible during the Character editor, however those animations needs to be added in-game through the C# Scripting.
Better Optimized for Potatoes:
Thanks to Unity, the game is able to run better on lower-end PCs than HaxeFlixel. You can modify the engine's source code to do complicated effects that might cause some lower-end PCs to struggle when done on HaxeFlixel, though you can replicate the effects in Unity and lower-end PCs will run it fine.
We also have 2 modes to help you out!
LITE Mode disables a lot of the animations and camera movements.
DESPERATE Mode (AVAILABLE IN BETA) does what Lite Mode does but also disables character sprites and menu animation as well as the loading of some assets such as cover arts.
Different Gamemodes :
You can play as the classic Boyfriend on the right of the screen, or...
AutoPlay will attempt to play any song completely accurately. This depends on your PC's performance, however. Meaning lower performance, the less accurate the AutoPlay will be.
You can now also Play as the opponent! There won't be any miss animations, but you can still win or die!
And finally, you can play with 2 local players on the same keyboard! That's pretty self-explanatory isn't it?
Colored Notes:
This is also a kind of support for the colorblind! You can customize the color of each of the 4 note keys to any color you want, even pure black!
Offset System (COMING TO BETA):
A more advanced Offset system with an actual test chart and sound to see how the Offset fits for you, it adjusts in real time!
Control Mapping (support up to 9K coming to BETA):
You can remap your keybinds to any key on your keyboard, but you also have a SECONDARY keybind list that you can use to at any time without having to manually switch it all the time!
If the game is set to Two Player Mode, primary keybinds are used for player one and secondary keybinds are used for player two.
There are also extra keybinds for Pause, starting the song and restarting.
Sound Channels:
Are some voices or music too loud? What if the music is too loud but the voices are not? That's okay, you can choose which sound to turn down separately!
Subtitles:
If your song have lyrics, you can add Subtitles to it through a simple Subtitles.txt file in your song folder, works just like that!
