0.4.0 C64 Graphics and Sound only!


Lots of changes. Mostly making it look and sound more like the c64 version and some gameplay changes.

#Updates

  • Title screen instructions/credits added

  • Animated the “Press Fire to Start” text

  • Bombs flash the screen

  • Bombs briefly stop the walls from moving

  • Change to uses colours from the C64 palette only.

  • Enemies now show in the correct colour(s).

  • Tazzman now Yellow instead of white.

  • Cocktail room now spawn random types of enemies

  • Enemies now spawn in the opposite corner from the player.

  • Change the sound effects for shooting and enemies dying.

  • Added sound effects for walking on screen, level start, death, and bomb.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
