What is '06 Syndrome anyway?

'06 syndrome is a term that I, Kaidyn, have invented to describe when a game series tries to reboot itself, but ultimately fails. this is named after both Sonic the Hedgehog: Genesis (2006 repackage of Sonic 1 for GBA, released only in North America) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 (PS3, Xbox 360).
