After 19 days of saying I am back, this is what I was working on. This is the biggest update for UnityBlocks Pre Alpha yet! Here’s the changelog.
Graphics has became more realistic
Destroying blocks now drops a pickable block
-+ Added a loading screen (I forgot that I removed it later)
Removed menu from main world scene
Removed more unused assets
Fixed Blocks Types text not changing between selection of block types
Added day and night cycle
Removed randomly generated clouds
Changed skybox
Added inventory
Added amount of blocks you contain in GUI
Changed health GUI
Added limited amount of blocks
Changed collision detection from transform to just collision
Modified the torch’s collison to be more realistic
Changed the torch’s model to allow the new collision detection
Changing the render distance, modifys the fog
The fog is now linear
Player will do different sound effects depending what type of block the player is walking on
Health will no longer be displayed as a float
Every one second, the player will regenerate 1 HP until the player has 100 HP
When dead, the camera will get equipped with a flashlight
The torches now have a slightly dimmer light
The torches no longer produce shadows
Changed ambience from music to realistic ambience
Fixed an occasional bug when you try to destroy a block too close to you, but destroy yourself
Ragdoll will no longer be instantiated but just activated when dead
Instead of the camera remaining stationary when dead, it’ll follow the ragdoll
Pressing “R” will reset the world
Added a FPS counter
Modified the controls text GUI
When dead, you can drag your poor and lifeless body
