Update 1.1.
Mining Update:
Asteroids now come in different variants, each dropping unique resources. The type of asteroid can be identified by a unique sprite, instead of a single asteroid type dropping completely random resources.
The variants include:
Crystal.
Ore.
Metal.
A new NPC ship class can be found roaming space, the miner, for each of the factions (Vanguard, Empyrean, Pirate, & Civilian). As the name suggests they fly about destroying any nearby asteroids with simple mining tools. This can come in handy if you’re in need of a lot of resources, simply recruit a group of them and you’ll gather resources in no time.
Resources are now automatically picked up by the player when in range, unless your inventory is full, or you deliberately dropped it from your inventory.
Default resource inventory space has been increased from 16 to 20.
Asteroid fields can now spawn in the world.
Other Additions:
A vendor will have a far higher chance of spawning if you’re out of fuel, cutting down slow, long travel if you’re unlucky with their spawns.
Entering a wormhole now teleports you a random distance ahead of your entry direction, letting you have some control over where you teleport, instead of it being entirely random. This can be useful for quickly traversing to a distant destination if you’re unable to warp.
Bug Fixes/Small Changes:
You can now only boost if your thruster speed is above 0.
Corrected some typos.
The different NPC ship classes now have unique shield and explosion effects.
Adjusted Ai ‘swerve’ behaviour, they should be better at dodging when they’re too close to a target.
Ai now have independent ‘swerve’ ranges, bigger ships will move out the way sooner to avoid collision as opposed to smaller, more manoeuvrable ships.
1.1.1 Patch:
Fixed inventory automatically opening once a planet has been mined.
Fixed planet surface image not applying certain settings.
Changed planet surface scan animation.
Increased spread of resources spawned from planet mining.
