1.17.2 Is On Its Way!

Dear shipmates,

Long time, no post! We're updating you today with some good news - we're done with the 1.17.2 update and we plan to release it in a few days!

This update is mostly about new materials. Over the past few years we've realized that the simple "hull/no hull" dichotomy for materials made it difficult to create easily-floating ships, due to the heavy weight of hull materials. To address this shortcoming, we've re-structured all metals and woods into five variants, which include two new hull variants with smaller weight than the "normal" hull.

On top of this we've been adding a few new materials, including - but not limited to - sodium and transparent glass, bringing the total number of structural materials to almost 700!

Just for comparison, here's a screenshot of the old materials database:

...and here's a screenshot of the new one:

Many new variants, many new colors, and many new materials altogether.

That's all for today shipmates, stay tuned for the 1.17.2 announcement!

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

If you have more of an acquired taste, the restaurants in Niravasi have you covered! Maybe skip the salad bar, though.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
