Patch 1.4.0 contains a lot of "under the hood" changes to make combat less tedious.
Alterations to combat:
>Very minor buffs to some enemies HP
>Beetle Might's MP cost is now 0. It still allows MP restoration, but again this is only during battles.
>Small buff to Beetle Rain
>Martial Arts Style is now a permanent defense down
>Small buff to Kaiju Style's damage output
>Enforcement Style is now a permanent attack down
>Missile test is now a permanent agility down
>Justice Taze buffed significantly: it now reduces defense massively
>Slight buff to Wild Kicks and Paralyzing Kick
>Peepless Snooze massively buffed: it now fully heals one ally and puts them to sleep.
>Small buff to Juice Spill
Alteration to Overworld:
>You can now sell items from Day 4 onwards, rather than only on a few specific days.
>Bugfixes which finally fix the purchasable clocks.
>Moved a chest which was able to be accessed in an incorrect location
