1.5 Released


I wanted to wait and release this update on the 18th, but there are some pretty important bug fixes that I felt shouldn’t wait - some new bugs were fixed, and some old ones that have been around for a LONG time!

1.5 - the Spring 2017 Update - continues in the direction of 1.4, focusing on content in the recently-added Eridani region.

Added:
-“Pentawiki,” the new in-game guide
-New map, “Dodger.” No weapons, just dodge bullets.
-New enemy type, the “Tapeulov Cannon.” Doesn’t move, just a cannon that appears in the Dodger map.
-New enemy type, Tapeulov T2. Currently the fastest enemy. It also shoots in 3-round bursts, and has more health than most enemies.
-New bullet type, specific to the Tapeulov T2. Does half as much damage as other bullets.
-New special weapon, “Rapid Fire.” Press B to engage.
-New bullet object for Rapid Fire. Has a smaller hitbox.
-New controls listed at the Main Menu.
-Custom icon.
-New game header.
-A loading progress bar that fits the color scheme of the main menu.
-Updated the in-game help file
-Some sneaky info in the Guide hints at things to come ;)

Changed:
-Reduced the recharge rate for the Focus Beam
-The ‘Frozen’ and “Special Stage: Relentless” levels are now longer
-The snow texture has been changed to something more like Pentagun’s other textures
-Adjusted tire tracks to appear less dark
-You now shoot and move slower on the Frozen level
-Special Stage: Relentless has been redesigned for increased difficulty
-The red flash that appears when taking damage now stays on-screen for less time
-Changed the banner that appears when loading the game
-Reduced the number of health drops in the Frozen level
-Updated the ‘Frozen’ level card
-Pieres levels receive a final redesign
-Game identifier

Fixed:
-Eridani levels will now flash the screen red when struck by projectiles, as it shoulve.
-Corrected the release date for 1.4.
-The explosion effect for some enemies wasn’t centered - this is fixed.
-Fixed a bug that didn’t destroy enemy bullets on impact, causing you to take up to 4x more damage than you should’ve.
-Fixed a bug that would throw up an unknown variable when you ran in to an enemy at the Special Stage
-Fixed an issue where the ‘Special Weapon Ready’ texts wouldn’t properly appear in Eridani levels
-Fixed a scoring issue with a few enemies
-Fixed an issue where the scoring algorithm would become glitchy if the Focus Beam was used on the PDM-B
-Fixed a glitch that’d let you become immortal after using the Focus Beam
-Fixed an issue where the Focus Beam would still cost 3000+ score even though it was reduced to 1000 in Release 1.4
-Fixed an issue where the PDM-B would not create explosions when destroyed by the Focus Beam
-Fixed an issue where score would not always reset

Removed:
-Some outdated information in the Tips section
-Removed the old snow texture
-Removed most of the ‘Regions’ section of the in-game help file, moving the information to Pentawiki
