So, #1gam April begins with the optional theme being water. I was looking over some #gamedev tagged posts on Tumblr, when I had checked the theme, and noticed some minimal type art and decided to use a minimal style for my next game. I will be limiting my color palette as well as keeping everything nice and tiny.
The game will play similar to the Zelda games in the sense of being top-down and swinging a sword to attack but with the added ability to dodge/roll. I also want to implement the theme in some way; I decided on bosses being placed on islands that you have to use a boat to get to.
I’ll, hopefully, be sure to post updates as I go along as well as, hopefully again, upload it here if and when I finish.
