Hi and welcome to the first (actual) devlog for 5 Minutes to Survive The Zombies!
Also, a warning. This devlog is going to be really raw, without any pictures etc. If you want the fun stuff, wait for the next one!
Today, I’m going to talk about upcoming changes to the development of the game.
As you might’ve noticed, 5MSTZ has already been pushed back after the Dream Hack Dallas Game Jam because we lacked time to finish everything.
Well, this time, we’re pushing the release date again, but in a different way.
Our team isn’t yet sure on how this is going to work, but there are some thing we are certain of.
For example, we’ll start posting devlogs (related to new features and development progress). For now, we will set the base amount of posts as once a week, with a high probability of bonus devlogs.
We think this will help us communicate our goals and progress to the community better than a raw deadline and release date.
Speaking of which, for now, we are getting rid of a release date. Development of this game has proven quite difficult, and we really don’t want our project to suffer because of time constraints.
Please excuse our lack of preparation and this last-minute devlog. We are trying to make 5MSTZ as best as it can be, but before that, we need to discuss some things internally and come to and understanding.
Hopefully the next devlog is going to be more fun, with actual gameplay and screenshots to show! Stay tuned, and if you are interested, please follow our game!
