Woah here I am again typing on this ancient Gamejolt page to celebrate 2 years of REOF Chapter 1 and almost 5 YEARS since the original Prologue demo all those years ago!

I started game developing (working on REOF Prologue) when I was 14... I'm 19 now how crazy is that (I can legally drink where I am like wowie), a lot has changed since then with CrazyLegends Studios that's for sure, for one we publish on Steam now! Situation TARFU is fully available for free on there with semi consistent content updates and the demo to Linxy The Lynx is also on there with the full game scheduled for a 2024 release date on Steam!

The bar for quality with CrazyLegends Studios has hit new highs trying to get some really quality games out despite the very small size

(we are 3 though I (Kenzie) does all the game development things other than music and some voice acting here and there though I do voice various characters such as Linxy and Rusty still)

With this new aim for maximum quality despite our size our games are taking wayyyyyy longer to make for example Linxy The Lynx alone is nearly 2 years into it's development, I have a new goal to concentrate on only one project at a time now so that way I can put my all into each project, though I still sketch away new ideas and concepts for projects after Linxy.

So basically CLS is done popping out mediocre games every few months (insert DownHell and The Forgotten Oasis here) after all I've got Situation TARFU content updates I can work on if ever I really need a breather from Linxy.

But that's enough rambling about things that aren't Rusty, this is REOF Chapter 1's 2 Year anniversary after all! So here's some Rusty news!

So basically there is none at the moment... as disappointing as that might sound, y'know a part of me really wants to come back to REOF but in a world where indie mascot horror is over saturated I missed my chance at getting what REOF originally was anywhere sooooo I do have a radically different concept for REOF when I come back to the project but and here's bad news 2 for REOF, don't expect anything from this franchise for another few years, with Linxy currently cooking up and the project afterwards which will take another couple years on it's own as well, REOF isn't really a priority anymore I have other projects I find myself being so much more motivated and passionate about as well as I don't really have the resources to work on REOF at the moment, I need 3D models and animations and I can't do that very well Chapter 1 was my best attempt at making 3D environments and characters by hand and meh they don't reach the quality CLS aims for nowadays.

REOF isn't dead I really do want to come back to it but probably not for a looooooong while, hell it might even be a decade before I get back to it guess we'll just have to wait and see how things go.

It's our largest project yet and I would love to see it take off, also the better this game does the more resources I can get which could lead to a faster revival of REOF so there's that!

I miss writing long articles like this but I have nowhere to write em anymore + they get no real attention so it's a yucky mix, though I'll always be sure to write a huge update article like this every year for REOF Chapter 1's anniversary for as long as I can to recap everything CLS has been up to in case some OG Rusty players are curious as to what we're up to now.
