2024 Progress Update!

Dear shipmates,

It's been a while since our last update. On one side we've been busy with real life - holidays, but also moving houses and coordinating the entire shebang - but on the other side we've labored and sweated to nail down dipole NPC physics and human NPC walking behavior. This took quite some time as it turns out that the physics of walking is a bad fit for simple mechanical-dynamics simulations, but all in all we're quite there...mostly.

No seriously, we've reached some quite good results, judge for yourselves (and be sure to blast the speakers up!):

Now it's time to start working on animating the NPCs! On this topic we have identified a couple of options that we want to explore - frame-based animating and limb-based animating. We'll take some time to try both and pick a winner - stay tuned for the results in the next update!

Gabe

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.
