2nd Quest Released!!


After about 6 months of procrastination work, I'm happy to say that the game's expansion was finally released.

As said in some of my earlier devlogs, the development had several breaks due to many reasons, but I'm happy its over.

This second quest in not a sequel or "end game content" of any kind, but instead, it's a remake; featuring Maria in a more detailed adventure as she tries to escape those lands.

Features:

  • Completely different maps

  • Bigger (and explorable) overworld

  • Actual puzzle solving

  • 4 bosses (1 for each Relic + 1 final)

  • Linear progression (with a bare-bones plot)

  • 3 different endings (2 good ones + a true one)

  • Richer dialogue (wait, is that a feature?)

Changes in 1st Quest:

  • Overall polishing

  • Minor graphical tweaks

  • Minor grammar corrections

  • Added confirmation on Start New Game

  • Added confirmation on save-deleting rock

I decided to keep the old version here simply for "historical" reasons.

Probably I won't update or work in this game anymore, sorry.

Next up

After another long and unexpected break in the development I got myself working on this game again.

By now most of the game is done and polished, only the final battles are missing (which I'll get done shortly).

So, I've been thinking about it, and I'll work on a second quest for this game, kinda like endgame content.

I've been completely out for more than two months (and I didn't touch the game in that mean time). Well, I'm working on this again and I'll bring more news soon.

Here's some progress! Second Quest will feature different maps and more engaging storyline.

Unfortunately, making maps for GBStudio is way harder than it should, since I have to do it from an image editor.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!
