Managing this devlog has been an incredible journey. It has been awesome interacting with you and sharing the progress I’m making on the game and I can’t wait to see what the next 50 posts look like.
With the demo deadline dangerously close, here’s a quick look at what I’ll be working on:
Finish updating the umbrella combat
In earlier versions of the game the umbrella combat was written horribly and it didn’t perform much better. So I’m in the middle of rewriting some of the code to make it work better and hopefully perform better.
Polish the menus even more
The menus still need one last layer of polish before they’re ready to go.
Playtest and bugfix
Implementing the crafting and the effects for the equippable gear has opened up a bunch of possibilities for bugs and glitches. So there’s no such thing as too much playtesting. I’m going to need to do a lot of playtesting to make sure I clear out any obnoxious bugs that I can possibly find.
As usual there are some other minor things that need to be cleaned up. I’m hoping those will go smoothly.
