Game
Zombie 1984

6 days and 3 hours to go!

I started making this game about 2 weeks ago.

Officially, the 11th of June (13 days ago).

I have never used GameMaker before, neither ever made a game before and have made it my mission to submit a decent game to the glitchJam, a game I think will be worthy of recognition.

I won’t lie, it’s getting close to the deadline and I am getting red eyed. It’s a lot harder than I thought, mainly because my creativity does not rest. I want to add more and do more in the game, add to the end game experiance apoosed to get it ready for the compitition.

Origanlly, the Zombie 1984 was a simple surive for as long as you can game, with zombies spawning like crazy and getting faster exponentially.

After a week i decided it could be more, and have addded levels and some more suprises. This has made the whole project that much more complicated and I have had to re-write a lot of code to appeal to the new gameplay functionality.

I have one last pretty big issue to solve, that’s creating a Zombie AI that is ‘smart’ after wasting the first week building it to suite the first prototype.

I want to have a demo out soon so the community can help iron out any unintentinal glitches.

You can watch me build this thing and also throw in some thoughts here:

Anyways, thanks for following this project!
