I mean, look at One [OKAY] Night (Which is almost here, actually, lol). It's self-Indulgent, but it's a one-night fnaf game, albeit with multiple "Modes".
Simple, but it works.
Then again, everyone has their own pereferences for everything.

A bit of a follow-up to my last post; I think there can be a bit more self-indulgent fnaf games that aren't just custom nights.
