Greetings, folks! I know it’s been an awful lot of time since the last update. It’s been really hectic here as of lately, and I had to put game development on a hiatus for now. I just wanted to share a few thoughts on the new game submission platform Valve is promising to release at some point.

To be honest with you, I fully support this change. I was worried that they would put an unrealistically high paywall for submitting games, but apparently they’re just sticking with just asking 100 bucks per project which can be refunded. That’s great news.
Considering the average indie game dev like myself who definitely doesn’t churn out a fully-fledged game in 24 hours, it motivates me to improve the quality of my own projects before even considering the Steam option. Which is why a game like .defrag isn’t on Greenlight yet, even if I could have perfectly submitted the game as a mere concept. I want to make sure it is a finished game first and then, of course, ensure at least a decent quality level.
So there’s that and I’m ultimately not worried about its potential price tag right now (either FTP or as low as 0.99). My priority is content creation and I’m still reserving a few surprises for the next update. If you’re asking when will it be available, I’ll just say when it’ll be done.
I’ll see you guys when real life will stop pulling me from all corners ;)
