There's one thing that not many people about this project, and we feel like sharing this because this is important.
When we started this game, we were just starting up. We didn't have a lot of software, art capacity, or music capability.
There's one thing we did have. Persistence, this game took us three years to make, and today, we will share the most devastating loss we ever had in this project.
The date was 2019 and we were almost done the alpha phase. We had been working on the game for about 2.5 years at that point. We had some assets we downloaded, and because we knew we were going to ship it soon, we were deleting some of those assets. As soon as we deleted the first thing, the game would not work.
We deleted the scripts.
Not one, not two, but all of them. Our devs were devastated and we even considered cancelling the game and just quitting all together.
It was so devastating.
We remember a lot of panic and fear in that moment.
Thankfully, we got everything back, but, this is a reminder to back up your things.
