We’ve wanted to use Tesseract, and we’ve wanted a campaign.
With these words, qreeves - lead developer - announced a new project he just started, a prequel to Red Eclipse, which will be using the tesseract engine: Red Eclipse: Horizon.
This is a completely new game where I’ll be starting from scratch to create a singleplayer campaign focused on puzzles, parkour, and avoidance, in the same vain as Mirror’s Edge
The current work-in-progress is accessible via GitHub on a new repository: Red Eclipse Horizon.

Side note: This does not mean that development of Red Eclipse will suffer. There’s still a lot of things going on in the development version, such as bug fixes and convenient lightmap previews. For other upcoming features, check out the earlier news articles.
