A Song for the Sunrise

A(nother) new beginning

So, this is where we start this time around!
Lately, Alex and myself have been discussing our previous “venture” Calenture as well as a mobile game by the name of Reigns and came up with a myriad of ways in which we wanted improve on these concepts. And thus, the seed for “A Song for the Sunrise” (hopefully not the final name) was sowed.

Just like with the aforementioned games, we’re looking to make a simple (mechanics-wise) management-game where you are to balance several factions and resources against eachother in order to make your village grow larger. But unlike Calenture and Reigns, we’re putting a larger effort into the sounds and the graphics of the game - making the growth of your civilization the center-piece of the game’s visuals.

As of the moment of writing, this project has, technically, only been running for a couple of hours so there’s not much progress made as of now. Alex is working on a basic set of graphics and I’m experimenting with the music.

So, there will be much more elaboration later on!

Have a great evening everyone!
/Tobias

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

The Authority decided to investigate the Basement and leads to recovering classified documents Fun fact: The building has 928 doors and not 1000 doors. #horror
