Recently, the higher ups of this dev team have been discussing the possibility of opening up a Patreon, as none of us are getting paid to make this game, and are purely doing it out of love for Danganronpa. This leaves a few questions to answer.
Would there be enough people who would be willing to donate to the patreon to warrant its creation.
If there were enough, what should the money go towards? Paying external artists, Voice actors, or extra programmers? Or even something not yet expected?
After the completion of Danganronpa/Zero, would people still want to donate to other projects, such as OFFtale Deux, or more Danganronpa themed games?
Since this work is based off of another property is it even legal for people to get payed to help the creation of the game? Or does that only apply if you are selling the game for money. If the game is free to play, but people can donate only if they really want to, is that ok?
Would people want to donate freely, or would there have to be some sort of reward, such as a thanks in credits, or early copies of the script? If so, how would we manage those rewards if people wanted them? Is it possible a donation will get lost somewhere and end up unaccredited, leaving a sad fan?
TLDR: Its questions such as this which have gotten as to come to the conclusion to ask the fans themselves. As such we ask you to leave a comment to see if you would donate and how much you would want to donate, and if so , if you would donate with or without the incentive of some sort of reward.
If you actually read through this whole chunk of text, then thank you. We would love to hear your feedback.
