Nate’s World canonically takes place where it started in 1985 and ended in 1993 (originally being called Nathan & Friends) due to legal troubles with Sega, causing it’s cancellation, and Hand-Drawn-Dreams Studio Inc. (the studio that made N&F) going bankrupt after a lawsuit and controversies with poor management of their employees and failure to maintain healthy working conditions.

And Nathan & Friends was pitched to 4Kids Entertainment in 2007, but was turned down due to the jokes being “too crude and poorly written”

Causing Paper Pencil Studios to continue the franchise after negotiations with the owners of N&F, causing it to be renamed to Nate’s World, and to be released in 2013.

I kinda thought it would be cool if it took place in the universe @monochromemann ’s OCs are in but I decided not to because i didn’t ask Mono if he was cool with it and I don’t wanna be a douche, so it’s a completely different universe.
