Since the teaser version of the game was rather short, and since I still don’t have too much more to show off, I figured I’d show you some of the things that are being worked on behind the scenes.
So here’s a quick look at the interface you’ll be using to gear up for a given level, and a first glimpse at some elements of the story the game has:
Dr. Nebula’s laboratory is where you return after each mission, and where you go to get assigned new missions. She’s the one who made the experimental armor suits for your characters.
From the lab, you can do many things such as:
Switching weapons, assuming that Dr. Nebula has made you a good weapon to switch to (that machine gun isn’t very strong against robots, after all).
Allowing another player to join in, or dropping player 2 out.
Switching characters (though they’re basically identical from a gameplay standpoint).
Saving or loading your game, though saving and loading isn’t implemented yet, given how there isn’t really much of any progress to save in the first place as of now.
Returning to the main menu, in case you need to adjust the game’s difficulty level, customize the controls, or if you just want to exit the game entirely.
And, most importantly, the lab also contains the stage select screen.
Close to the ceiling, you’ll find a claw on a rail, which is hard at work organizing various objects, such as beakers and small machine parts, for Dr. Nebula’s convenience.
Here’s a (badly-looping) GIF demonstrating what the screen looks like:

And in other news: I’ve added a few musics to the soundtrack, including a few that aren’t in the teaser version of the game. Have a listen!
