This is mostly going to be mindless ramblings, but I genuinely wanna talk about a few things.

I've been working on Macabre for well over a few years. In that time I've gone through 3 houses, 7 jobs, and like 756 different hyper-fixations.

I'm not gonna pretend that I work on this game the whole time. This game is not massive, it's not huge, and it's not ground-breaking. It was a fun throwback to a simpler time that I stretched too far because I really like a few ideas. I've even had this same profile picture of an old cancelled fangame from 2017 I worked on.

But I'm nearing my limit. I don't like FNAF all too much anymore, I don't like MODELLING FNAF (or modelling much at all anymore really),Security Breach made me disinterested in the lore, the fangame well is pretty dry, and the thing that pushed me the most being the Ultranite, Mechalus, and Ramen drama.

I won't pretend I know a whole lot about the situation, I only talked to about 2 of those guys a grand total of 3 times. And none of my "super important fangame stuff" was leaked since I rarely interact with the fandom much more. But I've seen some of the awful, fucked shit they casually talked about.

And I took a step back. And had to ask: "Is this all worth it." Macabre has been silently cancelled about 8 times. I don't enjoy working on this project anymore aside from going "oh this would be a cool mechanic!"

And for, honestly, no reason. Most FNAF content creators moved onto other things. I don't imagine my funny little game 12,000 years in the making will gain much traction. And for a fandom that is loaded with genuinely terrible people, which constantly, time and time again, get a platform to spread their shit.

This isn't supposed to be a post about the state of the game. This post is about the state of the developer. And the developer of said game is just tired.
