About Alveias:

Hello

I don't usually do these types of updates but I figured since I'm up at 2am currently working through this mess, I might as well give a update about how the game is going.

The game isn't getting another rewrite, nor is it getting canned, so don't worry.

Now, why is this post a thing? Well, it's more of a heads up:

As Chapter 4's development gone along, I've slowly started to not like working on this project simply due to burnout, pushing stuff I like in the story for no reason other than just to add potentially useless nonsense that probably doesn't make sense at all, and just the fact that I'm not really into RWBY as much as I was back when I started this project in 2018. I tried my best to make this as best as I can but as I start working on Chapter 4-6, I'm reaching my limit so please be aware that the game's story may or may not be great near the end and I'm sorry if I potentially lowered your expectations but when a project like this has gone through 2-3 rewrites over the past 4 years and it's done by one person, it's not long before said person gets tired of it.

I hope you all will still give Alveias a chance when it releases and maybe find some enjoyment out of it.

-Cy (The only person working on this game who thought it was a good idea to make this post at 3 in the morning.)

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

Heya! I wanted to show some gameplay progress i made so far. I hope you like it ^^

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
