You may know this story I'm working on (it's literally my pinned post) and have noticed that nothing has happened with it; I literally changed the date on there like 3 times.

So what's going on?

Well, simple. Ever since I wanted to first write this story, I've been kind of overhauling and tweaking the story of the universe it's based in, which has forced me to rewrite the whole thing.

So basically it's on a bit of a hold until I get more of the story sorted out since it's a massive change.

But I do think because of this the story will be much better and be much easier to write, as if I wait now I can just write and not have to worry about going back because of outdated lore.

I don't know when the story will be finished at this point, but I hope like

Next year? Maybe before? Likely not.

On another note, the story overhaul also allows me to make a more interesting and engaging story.

Before, the story was entirely in the POV of one character, so it felt like a poem every sentence, which wasn't fun to read and ended up being more of a bestiary than an actual story.

The new story will be easier to understand and provide insight on the world at the same time.

It'll also likely get a new name, which I am not sure about yet.

So tldr: I was stupid and tried writing something before the lore was fully finished and was forced to go back and redo it many times, which is why it's on hold now.
