Added an attack indicator! It's a wide sprite that moves in and out of view every time there's a new attack. It has text on it with the name of the boss and the name of the attack, in true bullet-hell fashion
I also made a small main menu. It took about ten minutes to make and I will make it look better in the future. Hoping to make it look like the Half-Life 2 main menu, with scenes from the game overlaid with low opacity.
Move along, nothing to see here
New player sprite! It uses the main colours of the game, red and blue!
I know it's been a while, my overworld system was bad... but hey I have a new attack to show you, for a different boss! It fires bullets towards you, leaving more bullets in its path.
I am quickly losing my sanity
Hey look I fixed it
I wanted to see how far I could push the engine. In this image, there are approximately 4900 bullets on screen. My testing has reached 5500.
I hope this allows you to see why I can't record any footage of this game
I reworked the dialogue system, so now NPCs can say more than 4 dialogue boxes' worth of text, and for certain characters they have a small head showing who's speaking! Also, this shows the new overworld tiles I mentioned
Buggy dialogue with undertale font
