This is a Question I've been wondering since the past week.
And I have gathered all the information I needed to explain it.
.
You guys know how titanic broke in to two.
Lights go out, The ship fractures and breaks in to two.
.
But it's. Not just that.
.
If you watched the 1997's "Titanic", you noticed that the break up of the ship was very visible from a far distance.
.
This is where questions come in.
.
If the break up of the ship was visible, then why did some passengers assume it didn't break into two?
.
Well if you see in the Titanic movie, there is this Blueish hue once the ships lights Flicker out.
.
It is there so that you won't loose your attention.
.
James Cameron used blue lights to give you a "Cold" feeling.
.
But in reality, there was no moonlight when the ship sank.
.
So it was completely pitch dark when the lights went out.
.
The only thing you could see is the stars and the pitch black shape of the ship in front of those stars.
.
And, the ship didn't break in a high angle.
.
It Broke in a much lower angle.
.
Not in a angle that you could start sliding down the Promenade deck.
.
You'd probably still be upright when the ship broke in two
.
And there would be less noise.
.
The only noises you would hear is wood Breaking, metal scraping, Bending metal, Sliding objects, etc.
.
So that answers the question.
.
I would like to credit Oceanliner Designs on YouTube for Explaining how the entire process worked.
