Alien Takeover 3 won't be coming out this October?

First commercial game?


Hi guys,

Unfortunately, I've been having some motivation issues and wanted to develop something new. With that being said, I've not even fully developed that either. It will be a RPG turned based GameBoy Advance type of game.

I've been wanting to develop a game on the Godot engine, and I have developed some kind of game on my Itch.io account (link to that later).

I've also been developing and testing and messing around with an Android game too, with AdMob, but that won't be done this year, at least I don't think. (And no, it won't have a lot of ads, just banners and rewards ads I'm hoping :) )

And, yeah... Been thinking about this game project a lot in the meantime, and I want it to be commercial, because of the amount of things I'm putting in it, without the multiplayer mode, which might not come out.

The online mode didn't work after I tested it this year, unfortunately. So, I don't know if it will be out when the game is, or, perhaps, ever.

Lacewing is difficult to learn, for what I'm planning on doing.

However...

I've been looking at the Godot Engine, and that has, I believe, Multiplayer in mind. I really hope I can get the online mode working. But it might not.

Again, Lacewing is difficult to learn and it's annoying. A lot of people are having trouble with it and it does seem easy but it isn't.

I've been having trouble with the AI working on two different computers on different networks with the DarkWire servers, but I've not figured it out yet.

I've been looking at tutorials, but that didn't work. If it doesn't work when I develop it further with Lacewing, then I will give up and try to develop it on Godot.

If the game's story and endless modes are finished before then, I'll just publish it and then work on the online mode next.

Like I said, I really want the online mode working with this game. This is the last game of the main line story...

Anyways,TLDR:

I've been developing another game, I've been learning Godot, the game will be commercial, I've published my first Godot game (link found here: https://itch.io/jam/godot-wild-jam-38/rate/1229812), Lacewing is difficult to learn, and the online mode might not be done.

And, finally, if I put my mind to it, the game will be out in November or December time.
