Alive Again - work on the map resumed

Hello gentlereaders… I got some good news this time. The first thing is I got a vacation currently and I plan to spend a part of it writing the game. The second good news is that I finally managed to get the map display working, and it fills the whole game screen, plus it moves around as needed along woth the moving character.

Yeah, maybe not much, but it’s not trivial to do in Love, so I’m kinda proud of myself. This was one of the biggest topics that I had to write so far.

Time for a screenshot:

In other news - I grabbed the Humble Game Making bundle recently, it has over 8GB of game assets. I need to think if I can use them in this project and under what conditions. (I actually asked this question to the HB support, still waiting for the answer.)

Anyway, progress! :-)

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Another house i made long time ago.

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Ibuki Mioda!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Made my first ever animation.

OK, this starts to be too tricky puzzle already :D
