This update is a total revamp of the whole game. I’ve swapped the aspect ratio to be approximately 4:3 vertical, moved the UI to the bottom of the screen so you can see it while defending the flame, and upped the difficulty quite a bit - You’ll need to be quite fast to get past Storm 3! The vertical window shape makes the storm more intimidating than ever before and makes gameplay a lot more comfortable in Portrait Mode on a phone (the intended mobile orientation - I don’t know how to disable auto-rotate lol)

The lightning is no longer just heat and healing! If your Umbrella is in the way of a lightning strike, it can and will take damage, and eventually break, leaving the fire defenseless, and maybe instantly ending your run. Is the risk worth guaranteeing a heal? You decide, on the fly!

The game no longer has (very unintended) permadeath! If the fire gets put out on any given storm, the Try Again button now lets you restart the current Storm instead of forcing you to go through every previous Storm again, making progression more skill-based and less luck-based.

Flames are FAST now! The fire speeds up a LOT more than before, and with the much narrower window, it’ll bounce between wall almost every second, so you’ll have to lead the umbrella blockage in the late-game to keep the fire from ramming into raindrops from the side!

Expanded goal: There are two new levels in the game, which get even harder than before! Waves progress a lot faster in later levels, meaning the Fire gains speed much sooner than in the first two levels.

I hope everyone can enjoy this update, and with that, I’m now pausing development on Allerbmu, and taking a break from it for now :)

I just did a test run to check a few things and it looks like PvZ Retro Attack: Remastered is pretty much ready for release!! Expect a download to be available in about 8.5 hours :)

they're still broken

This has been my "Year of Side Quests," where I complete unfinished things from years ago, or re-do what wasn't up to my standards, to surpass and eliminate who I was before figuring myself out. It's been great, and this little comic sums up how it feels.

I'm remastering my old game from nearly ten years ago and made this sprite to spruce something up visually, thinking it might be a bit over-the-top in the process. It turns out to be exactly what the fixed-up powerup system needed and it looks so funny

PvZ Retro Attack: Remastered is ALMOST finished. I'm hoping to release this by the end of this month (ideally: August 30 or 31) and I'm super excited about all the fixes and changes.

After 5 hours of work I figured out how to force GameMaker Studio2 at gunpoint to build an APK.

Allerbmu's full release will include the APK in the downloads but it won't recieve updates as often because I dont intend to use Google Play/Amazon.
