Almost Certain Peril

For once I have taken the sensible approach and tied together all the ends so that it is now a fully playable game. I don’t know how much time I will have throughout Sunday to improve it but I will do as much as I can.

I dropped support for touch devices as It was causing a few problems and I don’t have any devices to test it on. I also stopped caring what it looked like in Internet Explorer and added a message on the loading screen effectively saying ‘I’ve used WebGL…just get Chrome!’. Performance in Firefox is also solid.

At first this game was just about avoiding meteors but half way through development I decided to add a whole new dimension to the game. You now get a machine gun mounted on your ship which you need to blast your way through rock obstacles. Ammo, ammo replenishment, and rate of fire are limited however, so there are 3 power ups to get which improve your weapon’s statistics.

What I hope to add before the deadline:
Various animations, mainly for destroyed objects.
Improved audio handling.
Other miscellaneous bits of graphics to make the game more intuitive.
There are gameplay mechanics I know could be better designed that I would like to remake if I have time.
