Alpha Build Launched! Gamepad Support, Stronger Weapons, and more!

Space Kings!

We’re hard at work on expanding Planet Royale, addressing feedback we got in the jam and during the twitch streams. I’ll be posting builds at least weekly for any of you interested in testing it out. Changes in v1.2.0 include:

  • Improved Bullet Physics bullets now wrap around the planet at any size/speed, changes the gameplay dramatically!

  • New Bullet Types we’re testing different bullet configs right now, the first and third character have new laser types for you to try!

  • Gamepad Support during gameplay (UI still requires mouse)

  • Oxygen burn while boosting oxygen burns at 1%/second while boosting.

  • Adjusted bullet SFX it’s still not where we want it but its less annoying now.

  • Movement Adjusted I’ve tweaked the boost mode, and it seems I may have broken AI in the process. That’ll be fixed by the next update.

We’re really excited to share this update with you, and are looking forward to your feedback!

You can grab the latest Alpha build in the release package above.
