the behind-the-scenes stuff was very shitty of course, and I’m not defending PopCap for that whatsoever. But on its own Replanted to me is… whatever.
I don’t think it’s like the absolute bottom of the barrel for the franchise or anything (that would be the original vertical pvz3 demo in my opinion) but I’m not gonna go all “POPCAP W WE ARE SO BACK EA BAD POPCAP GOOD SECURITY SYSTEM TAKES CONTROL OF SQUIDWARDS HOUSE” and shit just because they put out a mid remaster. But yet again I haven’t finished the whole thing yet so there could definitely be something awful rearing it’s ugly head towards me pretty soon…
