as you can see fred's durladon holds the half berry, what this berry does is it heals half of the user's max health when they reach half health or less, of course, because its a berry it is single-use only
fred as a character
unlike other gym leaders fred values a mix of offense and defense unlike the heavily offensive leaders before him, he likes to add a hint of strategy to his team, hence his love of double battles. unlike the last double battle, it is a 1v1 so you will not receive help from other gym leaders.
