After the events of Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time and subsequently Bowser's Inside Story, Mario and Luigi both got employed by their buddy Wario to work with him in his new research facility. Now this facility was quite old as its been here for some time. but one faithful day on October 31st, 2011 something horrible happened. One of the Entities looking like Waluigi (but with a white cap and 4 arms) broke out of containment in the ever-ice chamber is when all hell broke lose. Lots of the staff died that day, Wario, Mario and Waluigi got infected by the Virus and became a few of the entities seen at the facility. Luigi on the other hand managed to escape......

3 years after the whole fiasco, the building was back in commission by none other than Professor E. Gadd, who had the ultimate goal to finish the research Wario and the rest had started. He of course hired Luigi since he was the only staff member that survived that day. Luigi of course didn't want the job at that facility since he knew how dangerous and unstable it had become. E. Gadd wasn't gonna let this go and offered Luigi a huge check of 100k Mushroom coins. This of course reassured Luigi that everything was gonna be fine and as such he took to the job opportunity. E. Gadd told Luigi to stay in the building for no more than 6 nights as it E. Gadd had even more advanced technology which he used on the facility to conduct his research faster.

6 nights later, E. Gadd wrote the check of 100k coins and was filling out Luigi's final report. Of course Luigi wan't getting out of the facility that easily since something locked him up tight. Something wanting revenge..... The creature that had locked Luigi in was none other than Shroob Demon Wario. Luigi was scared throughout the whole night since this entity was moving at an alarming rate for Luigi. unfortunately for the entity Luigi made a run for it to an emergency window which triggered the facility's security system trapping the Entity inside. Luigi took his 100k coins and ran home never to accept another job at that facility.......
