I'm probably gonna get called homophobic for this post. But I don't care.
I haven't said this here yet... But I've slowly started losing interest in Deltarune.
It's been like that for awhile now. I don't really know why exactly. Maybe the theme is just getting pretty dry for me now.
Despite that, I did bother checking what Chapter 5 had to offer. Y'know, watch it's gameplay.
I haven't finished watching it yet. It's a 4 hour long video. I'd watched nearly 1 and a half hour of it.
And in that much alone... I already have a problem... One which is kinda controversial to talk about on a platform like this.
You see how much "Susie x Noelle" has been intensified in this chapter?
Well, that's my problem...
Because of the ideology I have and the religion I believe in, I don't support stuff like lgbtq. Not at all. It's basically unnatural for anyone like me. That should explain why I have a problem with this.
Now you might question why I even bothered to stick with this game to this day when it was already implied in the very beginning that it supported stuff like that. And why I sticked with Undertale.
It's simple, actually. Atleast in Undertale, that "Undyne x Alphys" sorta stuff wasn't too much exaggerated or shown. Enough to be ignored.
Same was the case with Deltarune from chapter 1 to 3. Chapter 4 started giving me bad feelings about what was to be seen in future chapters between Susie and Noelle, mainly because of those prophecies, but was otherwise fine.
What damnation fell upon chapter 5?
The game starts, you barely reach the dark world, and you're already greeted with "Susie will date Noelle whether you like it or not!!!"
Can they chill out? Barely anything stupid happened between Susie and Noelle in chapter 4. How, all of a sudden, are we greeted with what we're being shown in chapter 5? What did I miss in chapter 4 I might be thankful I did?
And it's basically forced down your throat. Considering the fact that interacting with majority of the NPCs during the festival in the real world triggers those sorts of dialogues between those two...
Even if you think about skipping the whole festival just to avoid those dialogues, there's worse awaiting at the shore. And that part is literally unskippable...
And that's just the beginning. I don't even want to know what future chapters will force everyone to accept...
Because of that, it has become hard for me to watch it's gameplays without feeling uncomfortable. It really had to be like this when I started losing interest in Deltarune. Like bruh...
I get it. It's a personal problem. That's what makes it worse. I just wanna know if someone else has the similar problem with the new chapter...
And perhaps warn me if there's something worse coming in the chapter...
