An Influx of Assets!

The past few days have been taken up by working on sprites and tilesets for the project. Many of these are likely not going to be the final project, but as always; feel free to provide feedback and insight.

The character assets are looking pretty good, but play tests with the current tileset have environments looking cluttered, and hard to read. I’ll have to fiddle with them and see what can be done. There are plenty of environmental assets still needing creation, but so long as we have a few walls, some open tiles, and some rough terrain, then we have enough to really start testing with.

As for game mechanics, currently enemy pathfinding is working, characters can move, attack, and push each other, but the UI is essentially non-existent, and the control scheme is very basic as of yet. Playable content will be made available as soon as is reasonably possible.

Experimenting with a test level for 3d assets.

Checking in Touching base just to let you know things are still getting done. The next scene is very nearly done and will be added to the build ASAP.

Getting some more work on the quick intro cutscene.

Hey, party people. I thought this project was finished, but now I'm not sure. I'm playing with the idea of upgrading all of the assets to low-poly 3d models. I hope you guys are into that. If I finish, I'll leave the old build up too. Hunt on, guys!

This Satuday we invite to watch another #speedpainting of our artist Daniel Faiad.

How great is this scene of #Pecaminosa?

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!
