The event was starting to reach it's end days, and people were realizing the struggle to finish their respective parts for the event, so the team sat down and talked about a potential delay, and it happened.

We are delaying the event (for a good cause) to November 26th. Why the delay, why couldn't you keep the date?

People were dropping out of the event, and hope was starting to drop, so we have decided to give our participants more time, we are sorry for this, this will be our only delay. Thank you for understanding, we hope to see you soon.
