If you are wondering, battles and character select were already done before multiplayer was added, but on separate layouts or “scenes”. The problem is, when switching to a different layout (e.g. Multiplayer Game to Character Select or Battle), it disconnects the user.
This may not seem like a problem but it is, especially for the host. More importantly, I want the overworld to be the main focus and where everyone is at, even when battling.
Therefore, you might be wondering what the image above shows. Well, I’m merging the fights layout together with the main multiplayer layout. It is taking a while because I will have to modify the code, but I’ve already done the same for character select.
