Game
A Night At The Laboratory: Prologue

And here we go...

Well, this should be fun. Make a game in a week? How hard can it be!

Okay, it may be a little bit hard.

Anyway, on to the game!

I’ve never played a horror game nor seen any horror films before D: So I’m not that experienced in this genre. But hopefully by the end of this week, I will have taught you the true meaning of fear. Oh, yes. Mwahahahahaha! rubs hands together

Ahem Where was I? Oh yes, a little about me. I’m a 17 year old avid gamer, I started studying a Bachelor of Technology (Computer Studies) back when I was 15, but I’ll be transferring to a Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (Major in Games Programming) next month, which is exciting :D

I’ve made a few small games before, but nothing really much bigger than the equivalent of a Flash game. So this will be an interesting learning experience.

Aaaand, back to the game. Basic premise is that you’re a scientist that gets trapped in a laboratory at night with who knows what creeping around you, watching you, stalking you, salivating over you. You’ll have to survive until morning when everyone gets back for work, which will take about 30 mins real time? I dunno, haven’t decided on that yet. Also, just because well light areas look the safest doesn’t mean that they are.

I’m looking forward to seeing how well I go with this. Hopefully I’ll have something playable and enjoyable(or fearable) by the end of this week. Wish me luck! :D

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Why walk when you can jump?

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
