Game
Ominous Fatum

And it begins. . .

Three years ago, I began world building for two stories. . . Both of which, I dreamed about someday turning into a game. Telling stories and creating worlds has always been a passion of mine. As such, I am putting more serious effort into development of the first story, Ominous Fatum(Fates).

Ominous Fatum at its core is an J-RPG with a heavy emphasis on meaningful story and player choices that matter. Almost every story arch will have two or more possibilities. Each possibility will have an effect on your character’s ability to make future decisions and ultimately determine the outcome of the game / story.

So without further ado, I would like to welcome you all to a world I’ve been calling, Oculus Plume.

(Above is the World Map Beta, much more still to be added.)

The world of Oculus Plume is divided by light and darkness. To the west, live the sun bathed Lumous, while the Twilight hide in the moon lit forests of the east.

Main Characters

Meet Brice Lionheart

An young and impetuous Lumous soldier with delusions of grandeur and an over developed sense of justice.

Introducing Asper Cresentlight

A naive Twilight pacifist priest. In service to the Moon Goddess, he seeks to peacefully end the war between Twilight and Lumose.

The fate of the Plume rest on the choices you make as one of two characters.
I plan to explain more about what constitutes choice in later posts as well as introduce the side characters.

Thanks for showing interest in the story / game and I hope to see you back as I continue development and put out demos.

Till next time,

This Satuday we invite to watch another #speedpainting of our artist Daniel Faiad.

How great is this scene of #Pecaminosa?

#ScreenShotSaturday | #IndieDev | #DigitalArt

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

not the greatest house, but it's a house! :D

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM
