Hallowvester: Hallowvester is half-Imp. Imps (my take on them) are a female dominated species. Their hierarchy is similar to that of hyenas.
Imps have been around for centuries, often hiding among humans as entertainers. They are characterized by their horns, ears, and tails. If an imp has downward facing ears, they are incredibly dangerous, horn length also determines the danger level of an Imp.
Imps can shapeshift, but their horns and tails remain, so they would often hide amongst humans as jesters, clowns, or in different entertainment industries. Hallowvester on the other hand can manipulate his form to hide these features as he is partially made of slime.
Hallowvester is a low-danger level Imp subspecies. This means he’s not very physically strong nor is he agile. He has a hard time building up stamina and muscle. The other half half is some sort of slime entity, but no one has encountered any slime creatures on the human or nonhuman side.
Because Hallowvester isn’t a full Imp, he was booted from his tribe and left to fend for himself. He harbors ill-will towards Imps, and other Imp characters of mine.
Button: Button is a living doll, or puppet. They are often made by witches or warlocks as a temporary familiar. Students of magic are often the ones who make these creatures, not to be confused with golems, which are soulless and have no free will.
He is Hallowvester’s “lackey.” Living dolls are often discarded or disposed of when their creators no longer have a purpose for them, so Button ran away and met Hallowvester.
The two aren’t exactly friends, but Button is glad to be alive. They have a predator/prey dynamic, as Button is incredibly fragile as he is made of fabric and porcelain, and Hallowvester isn’t exactly good with glass nor is he gentle.
