literally a "wtf is happening" animated movie.
Obviously, it is a πππππππ animated film from 2014 based on a TV series with a same name (with no "The Movie), about a postman named Pat who joined a talent show so he and his family could go on vacation to Italy, even his cat, Jess.
Meanwhile, this guy, Carbunkle, made a robot version of Pat just to replace him without Pat's knowledge. And of course, one guy, Wilf, played by David the fucking Tennant, tries to steal a show using his son named Jish- I mean, Josh.
The plot is so everywhere that you can't even focus on one; even worse, you don't know who the main villain is.
Spoiler alert, it's Carbunkle.
His plan? Same thing, take over the world with PatBot.
Wilf soon found out about it and immediately exposed the whole show, but was unaware that Postman Pat himself is actually real.
But before I talked about the ending here, everyone in Greendale is also not aware that their town's favorite postman got replaced by a robot until a recently fired guy, Ben, found out about it by sneaking and taking a peek through the delivery place, that's where Wilf exposes the truth.
The whole town was immediately at the meeting, and Ben told the whole town the truth about the PatBot and the invasion. Shortly after, the whole town goes to the show to support Pat.
But BEFORE any of that, this PatBot replacement is the cause that Pat's family, even the whole town, hates him, all because of the show he'll be having, and his hope for having a vacation slowly goes away.
Now here's the ending: Wilf exposes the show by destroying the robot, even though the real Pat is having chaos outside because Carbunkle commands his army of Patbots to kill Pat. The real Pat approaches the show, attempts to explain his speech about the importance of the "human touch" (no, not the TWRP song), and Wilf, with no hesitation, tries to destroy, but immediately realises that he IS real, giving up on everything, even his jealousy of losing to a postman.
"Why is Pat outside?" you may ask. Because once, Carbunkle commanded the bot to put him in the dressing room, Pat got saved by his cat, Jess. He tries to get back inside, but notices the line is full of Postman Pat disguised people. So they go on plan B, and then a robot cat tries to kill them with a laser, causing a ricochet, and that's how he got back in.
Anyway, after all of that, Postman Pat exposes Carbunkle, but Carbunkle immediately commands all the army to kill all three, including Pat, Brown, and Simon Cowbell. And as soon as he does that, the remote falls off, and Wilf's son, Josh, turns it all off and saves the day.
Simon asked Pat to get himself back into the show, but Pat rejected the offer, and then his family and the whole town came to see Pat perform in the TV show. Pat's unbelievable expression leads him to get himself back in and win the vacation tickets to Italy.
Wanna know what comes after that? It's dancing, singing, and dancing. classic kids, animated film ending.
That's all I could say about this f*cked up film, if you think this movie reminds you of Hoodwinked 2, because it is the same director as that movie.
I'd say this is 4/10, good movie, but never direct a goddamn movie again.
