And since I have an iPhone 16 Pro right now, I'll wait a couple of years for an upgrade. If iPhone 17 comes out soon, I'll skip that generation (if my family isn't giving away or buying phones for other family members or exchanging products or whatever) and wait for 18.
iPhone 16e has really showcased to be a slight downgrade, especially that Apple decided to recap iPhone 16 Pro as an introduction before diving into 16e, for whatever reason.
At least, the 16e is the cheapest option and completes the iPhone 16 lineup, but $600 would still be considered expensive to average-income people/families now that it is the exact same price as a PS5.
